Horseshoe Bend is a planned community that features homes priced from the mid $200,000s to $800,000-plus, designed around golf links, river views and winding roads. Over the years, it has been common for homeowners to downsize and upsize in the community as their family needs change. The community was built along a bend in the Chattahoochee River and its design includes one road that forms a “horseshoe” through the neighborhood. Each street off the main road leads to a separate "mini" neighborhood with all roads leading to cul-de-sacs. 

Horseshoe Bend was once home to the famed Atlanta Steeplechase horse races. It remains a charming community and feels like a close-in retreat with lush foliage, wide streets, bike lanes, a bird sanctuary, a dog meadow and two lakes. The community is comprised of single-family homes ranging from cluster homes around the golf course to lakeside patio villas and homes on lots of up to 1.5 acres; some along the Chattahoochee River. 

The Horseshoe Bend Country Club recently underwent $12 million in golf course and clubhouse refurbishments. The club offers dining, year-round social events, two swimming pools, a poolside grill and a tennis club with lighted, hard surface and clay courts. The golf course has more than two miles of river frontage, is nearly 6,800 yards long, has a new putting green and has hosted three PGA Senior Tour events. 

It is relaxing to return home along the winding roads, past the lakes and trees, and there are always people out walking their dogs, fishing and golfing. There are also two area parks: East Roswell Park is just outside the community and Garrard’s Landing Park is a beautiful new river park within a mile of the community. 
Horseshoe Bend is convenient to many private schools including Mount Pisgah Christian School and Wesleyan School. The public schools are River Eves Elementary, Holcomb Bridge Middle and Centennial High. 

Businesses within biking distance include Studio Movie Grill, Super Target, Publix, Kroger, Starbucks and Pike Nurseries. Some of the top regional medical centers include Emory Johns Creek, North Fulton Hospital, Northside Hospital and St. Joseph’s.
